With the fine weather now upon us, it’s nice to finally enjoy the warm rays of the sun. However, we have to be careful when we expose ourselves to the sun, because sunburn can happen so quickly.
Here are a few tips to protect you from the sun’s harmful effects:
- Apply sunscreen 20 minutes before exposure to the sun.
- Use a sun lotion with SPF 30 or higher.
- Reapply sunscreen after swimming.
- Apply sun protection every 2 hours.
- Avoid exposure to the sun between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
- Dress to cover the skin as much as possible.
- Stay in the shade as much as possible.
